Objectives

  1. Qualifying students in the fields of structural geology, photogeology, and application of Remote Sensing and GIS techniques.
  2. Carrying out distinctive research in:
    1. Applications of remote sensing and GIS techniques in different areas of earth Sciences.
    2. Ductile and brittle tectonics of the Arabian Shield.
  3. Providing considerable consultations and investigations in:
  • The field of structural geology, remote sensing and GIS to interact with wider geosciences and non-geosciences community.
  1. Training of students, amateur and professionals in:
  2. The utilization of Remote Sensing and GIS techniques in structural geology and in solving some environmental problems and in urban planning.
  3. Carrying out structural analysis to provide the required data for site investigation projects
